The Nantucket Lightship (WLV612) is one of the most famous and unique luxury yachts in the world, combining handcrafted, luxurious accommodations with a legendary maritime pedigree. The current owners acquired the Lightship in 2000 and spent three years refurbishing the ship as a luxury yacht for personal use, charters, vacation rentals and events. The Lightship still retains her fog horns, seven ton mushroom anchor, original twin crystal beacons and powerful main beacon with 24 locomotive headlights. The Lightship's tender is a classic 26 foot, deck stored, captain's gig. The Nantucket Lightship WLV612 has important historic significance as a marine icon, since she was not only the very last of the 167 lightships that served America, but also the only lightship in history to have welcomed the world to America.
