General Details
This sweet 24’ 1988 Rampage Express Soft Top powered with a gasoline Volvo 260 BB with electronic ignition, fresh water cooled, 1050 hours. Moored in Stamford CT, this is the third owner, all original manuals and records are available. Unusual for an older boat, she is in original condition, meticulously maintained Bristol fashion.
On deck, the seat upholstery, cushions, and canvas is in excellent condition. Buttoned up with the drop back curtain, the helm area with helm and companion seats is fully enclosed for those blustery days on the black fish piles. She also has a full mooring cover to keep her clean.
The Rampage is a fantastic small fishing boat set up beautifully for drifting fluke, plugging stripers on the rips, or a snug haven for the November days out with the blackfish. The near 10 ft beam ensures a steady platform for a 24 ft boat either anchored up or on a drift. This boat is fully fish equipped with a remarkable twin live naturally recirculating bait wells and a fish box. The salt water wash down mounted in the stern makes it easy to keep everything always tidy.
The single 260 HP Volvo 260BB engine puts the boat on a plane and cruises at mid 20’s in most conditions at an efficient fuel burn.
Below is a small cuddy area with twin v berths and space for a porti- pottie if one desires.
Equipped with a Garmin chart plotter and a Furuno fish finder, this boat can do anything. The mid ship engine, near 10 ft beam and wide bow flare give these Rampages great sea keeping ability and the feel of a larger vessel. Many believe that this is the best hull Rampage ever made.
