Remarks
“INNISFAIL’s” owner has spared no expense in bringing her back to her original origins of 1939. The modern stack was replaced with a stack similar to the original.  The false “modern” fly bridge was removed and the traditional cap rail railing was installed.  The entire old fiberglass covering of the boat deck was removed, all damaged wood and deck beams replaced and a new fiberglass top laid down. The pilot house has been rebuilt to represent a very near appearance of the original. An extended foredeck shade and a new signal mast complete a stunning new look.  Additional restoration work has been completed on the fore and aft decks.  Extensive refinishing of the salon includes new overhead deck beams with varnish laths.  In 2011 a new stem and bow was configured to return INNISFAIL to her original design and profile.   “INNISFAIL” represents one of the few Mathis Trumpy motor yachts which have been restored to original design and maintained in yacht condition.   “ INNISFAIL” is a very desirable larger pre-war Trumpy. “INNISFAIL” has a wonderful history having been host to countlessU.S. Presidents, foreign dignitaries and heads of state.  She was commissioned by the U.S. Navy in WWII as patrol boat YP-345 with two 20mm cannons on deck and depth charge racks on her stern.  She has survived many uses and functions since originally commissioned in 1939 and is a true piece of yachting history.   “INNISFAIL” is available for immediate delivery  and will be a show piece to any harbor she enters.
