General Details
"STARGAZER” is a semi-custom built motor yacht built by the Zeigler Shipyard in Jennings, LA in 1964. The length overall of 176' is determined by calculating forty four (44) frames with 4' spacing between on center lines. The yacht has had major yard periods in 2003 and later in 2006 at the Stabbert Marine yard in Seattle, WA. The yacht has had several marine stylists and designers with input starting in 1983 with Jon Bannenberg, in1989 with Francis Giuglaris of Antigue, France and later in January of 2003 by Joseph Artese Design from Seattle, WA. The yacht was originally built in 1964 as “SOUTHERN BREEZE”. This is followed in 1987 as “ROBUR IV” which was owned by Henry Ford. In 1962, it was called “PATAGONIA”. In 2003, it was called “REVELATION”. The present owner purchased the yacht in 2007 and renamed it to “STARGAZER”. The yacht has a raked stem, transom stern with European style swim platform, semi keel and spade rudders. The decks are flushed with mostly teak overlay and she is twin diesel engine powered.
