General Details

The Morgan 41 is the most well known center cockpit in this size ever conveived with over 1,000 hulls built. Known as a heavy duty, go anywhere center cockpit, "Brightwork" is  of the last generation on the Out Islander 416 series. The 416 is arguably the best performance of all Out Island designs and is a ketch rig, with the main mast a double spreader rig. "Brightwork" shows above average care, and has had numerous upgrades over the years and has been sailed by  a seasoned sailor. If you are looking  for a proven cruiser , then "Brightwork" should be on your list.

Accommodations
Begining forward is the large V-berth guest cabin with hanging locker and drawer storage. The FWD head is to starboard and accessed from both the forward cabin and or salon. Next, aft to port is a hanging locker followed by a straight bench settee. Opposite is a an L-Shaped sette with a dinette table that folds up against the bulkhead, creating a spacious salon. Storage is outboard and below the settees. Following the salon and to starboard is the U-Shaped galley, and oppsite is the walk-thru to the engine compartment and aft cabin. Along the walk-thru is a seprate ice locker and shelf that doubles as a work bench. Finally, the large aft cabin features an athwartship queen berth , shelves, hanging locker and drawers. The aft head compartment is to starboard and in the forward portion of the cabin, adjacent to the aft companionway ladder. The functional and well designed U-shaped galley is at the base of the companionway and to starboard.  The Morgan 416 is the fnal evolution of the Out Islander series, and the 416 is regarded by many to be the best performing of them all, attributed to the sailplan. The main mast of the 416 is a double spreader, keel stepped rig and the mizzen is keel stepped. Hull and Deck
Topside, Decks, and deckhouse all Awlgripped in '98. The Morgan 416 hull is hand laid, solid fiberglass with an internally ballasted full keel and attached rudder. The deck is cored in no-load areas, solid fiberglass otherwise. The hull to deck joint is an internal hull flange, the the deck is thru-bolted and a aluminum toe rail attached . A molded rub strake with s/s/ rubrail aids in protecting the hulll.
