General Details

Every now and then I get to list a boat that truly shows outstanding care by knowledgeable owners.  OUT OF BOUNDS is certainly one of those boats.  Being sold by her ORIGINAL OWNERS, and an outstanding example and probably one of the nicest Endeavour 42s on the market today.  I Challenge you to find one that is nicer!

For over a decade, Endeavour Yachts distinguished itself as the premier manufacturer of quality cruising yachts.  The qualities that define a great yacht represent an interrupted sequence of evolutionary developments, innovative designs, nourished by engineering ingenuity.  State of the art construction methods and materials integrated with old world craftsmanship and the continued improvement in quality control helped to evolve Endeavour into one of the best designed and built yachts on the market today.

Designed by Johan Velentjin, Endeavour set out to prove that comfortable accommodations do not mean a reduction in performance.  The 42 offers rugged sea keeping abilities, easy handling, and unparalleled live aboard accommodations that first attracted the attention of serious cruisers.

Below deck, the Endeavour 42 reinforces Endeavour’s reputation for elegant accommodations.  The combined precise joinery work with the finest hand varnished teak woods available show throughout.  The galley area is enormous with a 13.5 cubic foot refrigerator, double stainless steel sink and unencumbered food preparation will please any onboard chef.

Both the forward and aft staterooms were designed on a grandiose scale.  Plenty of drawers for storage and four large hanging lockers are cedar lined and lighted and each stateroom has its own head with separate shower stall.  The aft stateroom has a centerline queen berth that can be entered from either side while the forward berth has an enormous V-berth with a filler cushion.

But you must look past the elegant interior and sassy performance to fully appreciate the Endeavour 42’s uniqueness.  Her construction and equipment describe a yacht of elevated quality.  Hand laid fiberglass, hull and deck with end-grained Balsa coring for maximum strength.  Massive stainless steel chain plates are connected to the hull with and embedded by hand lamination into the structure for optimum load distribution.

No disappointments onboard OUT OF BOUNDS!  Being sold by her original owners and she is a classic beauty ready to continue her voyages with you and your family and friends.

Accommodations
WOW!  That is the best way to describe this original owner vessel.  You can enter the wide side decks through either the port or starboard boarding gate or onto the aft deck by way of the aft boarding gate.  The exterior teak toe rails shine with high gloss varnish as do the exterior teak hand rails and trim.  The cockpit is enclosed by a bimini top and a full enclosure including external matching covers for the eisenglass and a full set of zippered screens.  The cockpit seating area has newer closed cell foam cushions that match the bimini color.  The cockpit offers excellent visibility, a folding teak table with built in beverage holder and ample space for a crowd.  The companionway opening is a louvered door with high gloss varnish and there is a full screen for the companionway as well.  Down 5 steps you enter the main salon.  The interior fabrics (replaced in 2011), teak and holly sole and matching teak woodwork are stunning.  Immediately to starboard is the navigation station with large settee offering storage under the cushion, table and top that opens for additional navigation equipment storage, chart storage built into the table edge and direct access to the electrical panel and main battery switch.  To port and along the outboard side heading aft is the enormous galley area with double stainless steel sinks, 13.5 cubic feet of refrigerator and freezer space, volumous storage capacity and counter top space.  All the way aft is the master cabin with a centered island berth with port and starboard drawers and cedar lined storage lockers.  There are two small settees on each side of the bed and a large overhead hatch.  The master head offers a mirrored vanity, manual head, and a separate ensuite shower stall.  Back to the main salon, there are port and starboard long settees that convert into a double berth.  There is a large dinette table with folding leaves that can offer seating for 6.  Built into the dinette table is a liquor storage area.  Both sides of the salon offer cabinet and bookcase storage areas.  Through the salon and along the starboard side is a wet bar with drawer and wine or bottle storage underneath, a stainless steel sink and fold away faucet, icemaker, and cabinet storage below.  Across from the wet bar is the day access into the forward head which is a shared head with the forward cabin.  The head offers a mirrored vanity, sink, manual head and ensuite separate shower stall.  The forward cabin is quite large and has a “V” berth with a filler cushion, plenty of drawer and locker storage and outboard storage shelves both port and starboard.
Galley
Located along the port side aft in the companionway to the master stateroom, the galley area is one of the largest and most organized galleys I have seen.  Running longitudinally along the port side from the main salon to the aft cabin, the sinks are located directly under the entry steps with cabinets above and below for storage.  The area offers excellent storage and food preparation area that will please even the most discriminating chef.
