Ulysses is truly a one of a kind trawler with her converted forward cabin space made into a large office and laundry area. It gives the feeling of a much larger yacht. The office area has abundant storage with numerous file cabinets, computer desks for two, chart area with single side band radio, large hanging locker, separate washer and dryer, toilet, sink, and medicine cabinet. This conversion was fabricated by a highly skilled shipwright which is in keeping with the original quality workmanship of Grand Banks.

When compared to the 42 Grand Banks Classic Trawler, the 42 Grand Banks Motor Yacht is more attractive to look at, has better accommodations in the master stateroom, and has more comfortable outdoor living space on the large aft deck.

Diesel Heat- This system is far superior to the reverse cycle heat and keeps the entireboat and engine room warm and free of condensation. It will heat the boat comfortably and efficiently in the coldest northern winters and is perfect for those occasional Florida cold snaps. The system consists of a Proheat 30,000 BTU diesel furnace. Hot water tubing runs the entire length of the boat with two thermostat zones and several circulating fans providing heat in the walls, floors, engine room, lockers, drawers, shower, head, under bed, and in all living areas. This system can preheat the engines or it can use heat from the engines to heat the boat while under way. Office
Ulysses is truly a one of a kind trawler with her converted forward cabin space made into a large office and laundry area. There is a lot of useful storage in the forward cabin and more open space than you will find in any 42 Grand Banks. In addition to working live aboard couples like the previous and current owners, this area has been appealing to a musician with a large instrument and a scientist with an electronic microscope. For occasional guests or grandchildren, an Aerobed would be ideal in this space.
