This turbo diesel powered 26 Command Bridge offers wide-body stability and comfort in a traditional bridge boat. below deck there's sleeping accommodations for five with a double berth forward, convertible dinette and sofe. The cabin layout is that of a much larger cruiser. There's an enclosed head compartment with shower and for those who like to pilot from below, you have a full lower helm station. Topside you'll find a comfortable fly bridge and large cockpit that's great for fishing with its removable bait tank and outriggers. This is one of five 26 command bridges built with Volvo Penta twin four 2.4 130hp turbo charged diesels. It sips fuel and has a great range for offshore fishing or exproring.
The boats original owner passed away 2 years ago. This boat was past down to his son. The son has kept up on bottom cleaning and drive zincs. (I just had the drives checked) But he's very busy and never uses the boat. Motors start right up and run very well but will need to be tuned up and serviced, cooling system will need service (works but old impellers, hoses, inter coolers and heat exchanges will need service) Fuel needs to be polished. Boat needs a new bilge pump. shifting cables are very stiff. We just installed two new battery's and spend $1400 to sand and buff the gel coat back to a great shine. Bimini top canvas and seat cushions need to be redone. Exterior of window frames should be striped and painted but do not leak. One motor was replaced and has 60 hours on it. The old one overheated due to kelp wrapping around the drive blocking the water intake. I have all the paperwork for the replacement. The other motor and boat have 460 hours total time.
This boat needs a little love. It is by no means a basket case or huge project. Its Diesel motors can take you over 500 miles at 10 knots! At a 20 knot cruise speed (3000 to 3200 RPMs) she only burns 10 gallons per hour total!!! This boat could also be run on waste oil or Bio-Diesel. This is the biggest 26 footer I've ever seen. It has a great Galley with 12v/125v refrigerator, gas/electric two burner stove top, sink and lots of storage. Whoever ends up with this one is going to be the talk of the dock! If your out of state and would like to come see the boat. I can pick you up and arrange lodging for you. The airport in San Diego is 5 minutes from my office and the boat is 10 minutes from the airport on Mission Bay.
