Specifications
- General Description
- "Good Woman" is an Elco "Marinette" model built in 1930 as a semi-custom cruiser, 27 feet in length with a 9’ beam and approximately 28” draft. She was built to typical construction standards of the era. She has a carvel plank over bent oak framed hull with a bright finished mahogany transom and an outboard rudder. She has painted fiberglass skin over wood decks and cabin top structure with a bright finished solid mahogany cabin and windshield. Interior finish work is of white painted wood bulkheads and overhead with bright finished mahogany trim and cabinetry and a traditional teak and holly sole. Cabin interior is arranged with 2 settee sofas port and starboard that convert to upper and lower berths. There is a drop leaf table mounted centerline, which may also be mounted and used on the aft deck. Aft to port is the galley with a manual pump faucet and sink and a marine refrigerator. To starboard is a head with a sink and electrical distribution panels. The hull and superstructure finshed are in good condition. The aft deck has a hard top canopy with helm station to starboard, a vintage wicker chair and a bench seat aft with tufted vinyl cushions. "Good Woman" was professionally restored many years ago and appears to have had excellent custodial care and maintenance over the years since, having always been kept in a covered shed slip.
