The Thompson Brothers founded Thompson Boat Manufacturing Company in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. The second generation of Thompson’s continued the legacy of a family boat building business by building lapstrake outboard cabin cruisers in Oconto, Wisconsin and Cortland, NY. In 1971, Cruisers, Inc. was sold to Mirro Aluminum Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. In 1993, a Venture Capilatist, K.C. Stock bought the company. Today Cruisers builds express cruisers and flybridge yachts from 30’ to 56’. The parent company, KCS, also owns Rampage Yachts.
