Description

Schooner BONNIE LYNN is a serious offshore expedition‐style cruising vessel, built to very high standards with long range fuel capacity and water‐maker. Extraordinary means were taken to make her comfortable and seaworthy including full boat insulation for quiet operation. Truly an unusual aspect is her heavily insulated hull, deck and interior bulkheads, which offer passengers more privacy and comfort. Below deck she is teak and mahogany paneled with a teak and holly sole – an example of Maine’s finest master craftsmanship. Traditional style brass lights create a romantic, old world atmosphere. A diesel heater offers warmth when sailing in cooler climates. Cabins have adjoining heads and showers. The fos'cle has a settee that can be pulled out to a double berth, as well as two single berths. The other two cabins have double berths. 110-volt power is available throughout. The owners quarters are aft, which enables guests to have total privacy. Although 'Bonnie Lynn' is very traditional looking she is equipped with the most modern and technologically advanced navigation, communication, and safety equipment. She has a sound‐insulated walk‐in engine room, housing a 220 hp John Deere diesel and 8 kw diesel generator. Her elaborate electrical system includes a water heater, water‐maker, refrigeration, and freezer units. Her flush deck allows guests to wander about freely even while under sail. The stand‐up engine room is truly rare on a vessel of this size and has been meticulously maintained and is equipped with a work bench with an elaborate inventory of tools.
