Northrop & Johnson Yacht Broker Deniz Kaymaz not only is a broker, but he also is a trained marine engineer who hails from Istanbul, Turkey. As he was born in the coastal city by the Black Sea, he has been passionate about the ocean and anything related to it since his youth.

Deniz’s background spans all sectors of the yachting industry, from production to sales and marketing to organizing boat shows including those in Monaco, Cannes, Genoa, Croatia, Slovenia, Barcelona, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Newport and Minneapolis, to executive shipyard management in Turkey. He has more than 15 years of experience in the construction and sales of artisanal cold-molded mahogany construction yachts, advanced Composite construction yachts and steel and aluminum yachts ranging from 12 to 80 meters.

Having worked in yacht construction, sales and marketing managing positions in both Turkey and in the United States (he spent six years in New Orleans and Fort Lauderdale), Deniz honed his broad skill set with regard to new-build support, refit support, management and contractual negotiations and developed worthwhile market intelligence within Turkey.

Deniz’s technical, analytical approach in the field of construction and refit as well as his experience in marine engineering and naval architecture coupled with his knowledge of sales and marketing garnered as a top yacht player in Turkey ensures he is not only extremely well versed in the industry but also has a far-reaching network, both of which will benefit his clients. Deniz enjoys speaking about all things yachts, including the yachting market and trends, with his clients. He is dedicated to providing the best possible service to ensure his clients enjoy yachting as much as he does.

Deniz is happily married; he also has a son. He currently resides in Istanbul with his family.
