William grew up in Ohio boating and fishing the local lakes and rivers, as well as the Great Lakes. After moving to San Diego in 1976, he learned to sail, and in 1978 took his first sailing trip to Hawaii.

Soon after returning to San Diego, he started in the yacht sales business. In 1983 Bill started Coastline Yachts and became the Chris Craft Dealer in San Diego, adding Ocean Yachts, Ocean Alexander, Tollycraft, and Blackfin to his product line through the late '80s. In 1990 Bill started Palmer Yachts with an exclusive focus on brokerage, both power and sail. In 2003 Bill joined Ardell Yacht & Ship Brokers and enjoyed a successful 13 years there, leading the group in 2009 as the Top Sales Broker of The Year, and again in 2013 as the Top Sales Broker of The Year for the company in all offices.

Denison Yacht Sales is pleased to have William join the Superyacht and Charter Division in Newport Beach, California.
