Description
The Krogen 70' project was driven by customer interest in an even more spacious raised pilothouse design with increased hospitality. For many owners, the pilothouse is not only the navigation and systems control center of their yacht but a social center as well. With an expanded U-shaped pilothouse settee, larger table and a penthouse-like view, the Krogen 70' has real game room potential. And with family and friends aboard, no matter the dish or occasion, there can be no better venue to prepare meals, snacks and hors’ d’oeuvres than in the truly home-like galley of these new models—fully equipped with full-size, top-of-the-line appliances including a six burner commercial range. Plus, the massive galley is open to the saloon with a breakfast bar. Opposite the galley is a wet bar with easy access from the cockpit, saloon and pilothouse. The details of the Krogen 70' have incorporated all the best features of the Krogen 58' and produced an owner-operated vessel with even more flexibility and accommodations for the cruising lifestyle than one could have ever have imagined.
Since the first Kadey-Krogen was launched in 1977, our yachts have confidently cruised the world. No other builder has our length of experience or dedicated owner feedback, and as a result, the new generation of Kadey-Krogens are by far the best long-range choice available - on any sea. Tucker West
Tucker grew up on the water in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and as a kid spent his summers sailing and water skiing, and throughout high school and college driving the launches and working at the Newport Yacht Club. Tucker entered the marine industry after graduating from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire with a degree in business management. His primary focus throughout the years has been in sales, marketing, and after-sales service. He began his career at Sunsail Yacht Charters, booking sailing vacations and selling boats into Sunsail's charter fleet. After spending a year in Thailand with Sunsail, he returned to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and spent the next seven years with The Catamaran Company. Most recently, his work leading the North American Sales and Dealers Network for Grand Banks Yachts earned respect among his peers and cemented his passion for the cruising segment of the powerboat industry.
