Description
"Matross" is a fine example of a 1980 C&C 48 Landfall Cutter Pilothouse (optional inside steering station). She is 1 of 24 boats built during her production run from 1980-1982 out of the C&C factory in Rhode Island. She is coming off a 4-year restoration (2015-2019), that included a new/rebuilt 85 hp Perkins diesel in 2015 (3 hrs), deck and cabin sides repainted, updated electronics just to name a few items.
The main saloon is in the raised Pilothouse and offers 360 degree visibility from the inside helm station. The large dinette to port converts to a pilot berth and the inside helm as well a separate Nav Station is to starboard. Her varnished teak and holly sole is in excellent condition with engine access under the cabin sole.
"Matross" has a 2 cabin, 2 head arrangement with a galley down to starboard and galley seating to port.
The aft cabin has ample storage to starboard for liveaboards/Offshore Cruisers and a double bunk to port and enclosed head with shower also to port. The V-berth forward also has ample storage. The second forward head with shower stall is both accessible from the port side settee as well as the forward companionway just aft of the V-berth. "Matross" has 2 16K BTU AC/Heat units (2017) to keep you cool in the summer and warm during the winter.
Above deck, the aft cockpit is huge offering seating for at least 8 comfortably. Fitted with electric power primary winches and her cutter rig, make her an easy boat to be handle by a crew of 2. "Matross" had her deck and cabin sides painted back in 2018 and looks like new.
