Description
2015 Sea Ray L650 Fly
The Sea Ray L-650 of the L (Luxury) -Class Series of ultra-premium yachts, introduced in 2016, is the first Sea Ray boat to be built to CE Category A ocean standard. Safety features were engineered into the design for operation in seas with higher wave heights and winds. Side decks were designed to channel any green water directly overboard, instead of to the aft cockpit and aft deck has grates in front of salon slider doors with drains to overboard. Two Seakeeper gyrostabilizers are standard, along with a powerful Onan generator and 90,000 BTUs of air-conditioning. Bow and stern thrusters simplify docking for easy owner/operator handling.
SERENE has many features found in much larger megayachts, such as the bow social area that is accessed from both sides of the foredeck and features a large oval seating area around a table and a forward sunpad. The large Euro-styled open flybridge with hardtop features chaise lounges forward of the portside helm console, that convert to seats or a huge sunpad. The bridge aft deck is configured for entertaining with wet bar and U-shaped seating around a dining table with a second table and seating on starboard side of helm. Teak covered molded stairs on portside lead down to the cockpit/aft deck shaded by the flybridge overhang. Another great exterior place for entertaining, with a cushioned aft bench seat and table, wet bar station with Kenyon cooktop, fridge, and ice maker for al fresco meals and cocktails. With the main salon sliders opened, the aft deck and salon combine for a vast social area.
The open interior layout was designed with an emphasis on luxurious comfort and beautiful craftsmanship such as the hardwood flooring, rich materials and design features. The entire forward area including the galley, dinette, and lower helm station, is raised a short level. The fully equipped open U-shaped galley features a counter overhang bar with two swiveling stools for quick bites or extra dining place settings. Forward portside galley is open to the dinette and lower helm station. Companionway steps lead down to accommodations level with full beam midships master suite featuring forward-facing centerline king berth, portside walk-in closet, and opulent head with shower on starboard side—both located aft along full-beam stateroom. Forward VIP stateroom features a centerline queen berth and en-suite head, and guest staterooms on port and starboard sides with twin berths share a head. All are beautifully appointed.
The Sea Ray L-650 features a standard hydraulic extended swim platform rated for a 1,200 lb. capacity to carry a tender. An extremely rare feature of SERENE is the stern lazarette day head, very convenient to the aft deck. Portside and starboard teak covered molded steps lead up to the cockpit/aft deck for access to the entire yacht. Walk-around side decks extend to the bow and foredeck seating/sunning area.
