SIMARON’s covered aft deck is comfortably furnished with a settee and four plush cherry wood folding chairs. The stair to the swim platform is on the starboard side with access to the lazarette and engine room. The swim platform is ideal for tender boarding and where all watersports are launched.
The main salon is entered from the aft-deck on centerline, via hinged double doors, opening to the entertaining area with oversize windows port and starboard for stunning views. The open arrangement, with couch, end tables, cocktail table and further comfortable seating invites relaxing interaction with the elegantly casual motif set amidst contrasting quarter-sawn cherry and madrone burl wood joinerwork. Opposite the seating area is a custom-built cabinet containing the front channel speakers of the surround sound system as well as a 47” H-D flat screen TV on an automatic lift. Forward of this cabinet is a matching custom-built game table with two very comfortable cushioned arm chairs.
The open dining area adjoins forward of the salon, with a round dining table for six guests. On both port and starboard sides are beautiful marble topped, empire-style, custom-built cabinets containing full sets of Hermes La Siesta dinnerware, silverware and stemware. Forward to starboard is a bar cabinet with a clear-ice maker and 20-bottle wine fridge.
The galley is on the port side of the main deck forward of the dining area, with a Dakota Mahogany granite-topped wrap-around counter and island that comfortably seat four on modern leather upholstered bar-height stools. The galley can be left open or cleverly concealed from guests with cherrywood recessed-paneled bi-fold doors. Gourmet fixtures and appliances abound in this galley that also features huge windows both port and starboard—a chef’s dream. Opposite the galley is a curved stairway, lined with recessed cherrywood paneling leading down to the elegant stateroom foyer. Just forward of this stairway on the main deck level is the day-head with illuminated Lalique glass sink/fixtures.
Forward of the galley is the pilothouse that has recently upgraded with new navigation equipment and a comfortable leather upholstered settee with a cherrywood topped table. Additionally, there is a smoked glass cabinet housing A/V equipment and there are entry doors on both port and starboard sides of the pilothouse providing access to the full walk-around side decks. Aft and to starboard, there is a very generous stairway to the flybridge.
Entered through rounded double doors, SIMARON features a full-beam master suite forward on the lower deck with king bed, large his/hers cedar-lined closet storage, a desk with vanity, ample dresser drawers both port and starboard, entertainment system and opening/adjustable cherrywood shutters over all the windows to further enhance the beauty of the stateroom. The ensuite fully marble-lined master bathroom has a large steam room with rain shower on the starboard side and a separate bathroom on the port side.
Below deck are two elegant guest staterooms, one with twin beds and the other with a queen bed. Both have ensuite bathrooms with high level finishes and luxurious marble work throughout. All staterooms have individual entertainment systems, individual A/C controls and safes for guest security.
The flybridge is always a favorite area to lounge, sunbathe, dine and arrive into ports in style. The hardtop covered, isinglass enclosed flybridge boasts a complete navigation console with wing stations both port and starboard. On centerline is a Stidd captain’s chair. A forward-facing cushioned settee for two or three are positioned both port and starboard with storage beneath. Aft, on the centerline is a full bar with fridge, icemaker, sink and three upholstered bar stools. On both outboard sides are large cabinets containing storage for barware, dinnerware, silverware and a full compliment of appliances including a dishwasher. Aft of this area to port, is a dining area comfortably seating eight and to starboard is additional seating for six with a coffee table.
CAPTAIN & CREW
SIMARON can accommodate up to three crew in two cabins, including a Captain’s cabin and 1 additional crew over/under berth. The crew quarters includes a bathroom and contains a stack laundry.

Born in Regensburg, Germany, David moved to Chicago at the age of three, spending his childhood on the shores of Lake Michigan. After serving in the US Marine Corps, he and a friend spotted a gap in the market for a full-service custom photo lab and, in 1974, Ross-Ehlert Photo Labs was born. Over the course of 20 years, the company grew to more than 200 employees, serving thousands of international photographers, ad agencies, and Fortune 500 accounts across two locations in Chicago and Orlando. David exited at the right time, selling in 1992.
The following year, David made his first splash into the yachting industry, acquiring custom yacht builder Burger Boat Company. He would stay there for 16 years, spearheading its transformation into a world-class state-of-the-art yacht design/construction business. David revamped the shipyard and mustered a 500-strong team across the main offices in Wisconsin, brokerage/charter in Florida, and international sales in Monaco. 36 superyachts ranging between 25 and 48 meters came to fruition during his tenure.
In 2009, David ironically sidestepped from ‘Burgers’ to ‘Dogs’ – hot dogs to be precise. Embracing his inner foodie, he escalated from a humble hot dog stand (Dr Dawg) to a chain of three restaurants. Having scratched a seven-year gastronomic itch (and perfected the ultimate Chicago-style hot dog) David returned to yachting in 2016 as CEO of the US division of international brokerage, charter and management group YACHTZOO LLC, based in Florida. In 2019, he transferred his skills to Miami brokerage Reel Deal Yachts as VP of the superyacht division.
Having observed Hamilton Marine from the other side of the Atlantic, watching it flourish into one of the most innovative marine consultancies in European yachting, David approached Jonathan with a view to taking it international – of course he jumped at the chance. With an incredible ability to inspire, energize, and connect with people at all levels, David’s vision and extensive maritime experience were exactly what Hamilton Marine needed as it quietly expanded its geographic reach.
David lives in Fort Lauderdale and thoroughly enjoys the tropical lifestyle. His multifarious hobbies include motorcycling, ELR (extreme long-range) competitive shooting, high-intensity exercise, oil-painting and cooking – not just hot dogs. Please contact David at +1 (920) 860-7655
