Tom Corkett
Northrop & Johnson Yacht Broker Tom Corkett is a Newport Beach native. His childhood was spent sailing and cruising the California coastline with his family. Tom got into the racing scene and has raced offshore in many blue water races, including 15 transpacific races to Hawaii, one to Tahiti and a variety of races and cruises to the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico. Tom holds the titles of overall winner of the 1963 Transpac Yacht Race from Los Angeles to Hawaii and Class Winner of the 1992 Double-handed Race to Hawaii on board a Nelson Marek 70-foot ultralight.
Tom is an avid yachtsman himself, owning a 52-foot Tiara, which he and his family have cruised off the California coast.
Tom spent part of his more-than-50-year yachting career working for Ardell Yacht & Ship Brokers. He is an expert on sail and powerboats, ranging from 30 to 200 feet. He has an acute passion for yachting and is keen to help his clients fulfill their own passions through purchase and sale.
