A fixture on the New England boating scene, Bruce was born and raised on the shores of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay. His parents sharing their love of the water and passion for boating provided him years of experience and knowledge that would stay with him a lifetime.
With a desire for anything that would take him out on the water, Bruce has owned and operated a variety of boats, from jet skis and dingy’ s, to sailboats and both small and larger powered boats. He’s equally at home, crewing a racing sailboat or commanding a large powered vessel offshore. For Bruce it’s all about getting out on the water and enjoying the experience with others.
A US Coast Guard licensed captain for over Twenty years, his voyages have taken him beyond the coastal waters around Rhode Island and New England. Bruce has experienced the inland waters of Michigan, New York, St. Lawrence River to Quebec City, and the entire Eastern seaboard to southern Florida.
Prior to becoming a full time boat broker, Bruce spent 30 years in the trades primarily in the home renovation industry, He’s owned and operated successful Marine repair businesses, and having conducting countless boat operator training sessions, is known as an experienced and patient instructor. Boats are not just a business to Bruce and his passion for the sport keep him abreast of current market conditions, newest technologies and leading industry designs.
Bruce Champagne’s personal and professional experience make him the go-to person for any on board project from the engine room to the bridge, be it electrical, mechanical, plumbing or renovation. Bruce understands boats are big investments and the rewards that can come with boat ownership. His approach to brokerage goes beyond scheduling appointments and showing boats.
