Gene Prizer’s sailing career began in Southern California at the age of 13, thanks to the introduction by his father. Daysailing soon transitioned into competitive sailing aboard vessels from dinghies to maxi ocean racers. His racing resume includes crewing in countless West Coast regattas and coastal races, as well as offshore races to Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada (1st in class -7 times), Manzanillo, Mazatlan (1st in class), Puerto Vallarta, and the Transpac to Honolulu.
Gene also enjoys introducing new people to sailing and the enriching lifestyle that comes with it. He’s earned several instructor certifications and is a USCG licensed captain.
