Mark was born and raised in Southern California, where he was able to get out on the water from a very young age. Growing up fishing in Mexico on their family charter boats, Mark spent much of his summers getting a taste of the sportfishing world, seeding an early love that continues today. The marine industry is the only industry Mark has ever known, with various roles such as rigging and electrical, parts, and then continuing into the sales side of the industry during college, where he obtained a degree in Finance from California State University Fullerton.
Today, Mark is a licensed salesperson in California and Florida and proficient in conversational Spanish. He has been representing boat buyers and sellers since 2008. While he helps clients with many different brands and styles, he specializes in sportfishing yachts, with extensive experience representing Viking, Cabo, and Mag Bay Yachts. His interest and history with sportfishing make for a natural rapport when working with his fishing clients.
Helping clients find or build the boat of their dreams is the essence of what being a salesperson in this industry involves, and customer satisfaction and service is his ultimate goal. In this unique industry, long-lasting relationships with customers often mean those ‘customers’ become more like friends and family – which is a truly enjoyable aspect of the job.
When he’s not working (or fishing), Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and children aboard their Grand Banks 32. There’s always a project onboard to keep him busy!
