Northrop & Johnson Yacht Broker Rolf Smith fell in love with life at sea at age 15 when he spent a summer aboard a Swedish training ship, the HMS Falken. The following year, he enlisted in the Swedish Merchant Marine and began crewing on cargo ships throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and elsewhere.
Rolf then transitioned to selling luxury automobiles and building a network of affluent clientele around the world. Eventually, his passion expanded to include the skies; he became a certified fixed-wing and helicopter pilot. In addition to his marine background, Rolf has 25 years of experience in aviation, brokering deals on jets and helicopters for businesses and High Net Worth Individuals around the world.
Rolf’s love for life at sea lead him back to the yachting industry, where he became a yacht sales broker. Rolf’s position — with one foot in the aviation world and the other in yachting — is unique.
