Eight years U.S. Naval service after which going to sea in the U.S. Merchant Marine as an Able Seaman. Upon finishing school in Navigational Science was commissioned as a Merchant Marine Officer with an Unlimited any-waters license. Here I served as officer of the deck on Tankers, Container Ships, Seismic Research vessels, Sea Going Tugs and on and on. Spent a good deal of my life at sea. Have owned a multitude of private boats from Sailboats to Trawlers. First boat was given to me at 9 years old by my Grandfather and was a 14′ Jon-boat with a 3h.p. Elgin outboard. Have traveled all over the world for many years. P.S. Pug is my First Mate.
