Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Zehra Aksu is a multitalented yachting professional who prides herself on providing her clientele with an exceptionally high level of service.
Zehra earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture and studied Urban Design, City, and Regional Planning at the prestigious Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and has 11 years of experience designing and managing architecture and construction projects.
Inspired by her love of the ocean and travel, Zehra journeyed to the U.S., where she launched a consulting and luxury travel concierge company based in Hawaii. As a business owner and entrepreneur, she reveled in interacting and building relationships with her clients. Additionally, she developed a passion and expertise for sales, marketing, and branding that will complement her abilities as a yacht consultant.
Zehra also has eight years of yachting experience as a marine engineer, first officer, and licensed yacht captain. She now looks forward to using all of her diverse knowledge to meet the exacting needs of her clients at Wave Marine Group, where she will specialize in yacht sales, charters, and new build yacht construction.
Thanks to her extensive cruising experience in international waters including the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean Sea, Hawaiian Islands, and Central America, Zehra also possesses valuable firsthand insight into the types of yachts that are best suited for various cruising destinations.
Her respect and appreciation for architecture, luxury design, and engineering systems are some of what draws her to the yachting industry, and the ability to help her clients realize their visions is one of its most gratifying aspects for her.
Zehra speaks fluent Turkish and English and she is in the process of learning Spanish and Italian. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, kitesurfing, scuba diving, snowboarding, sailing, golf, and tennis.
